Mr. Mokhzani Bin Mahathir, B.Sc.,
serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Kencana Petroleum Berhad. Mr. Bin
Mahathir serves as the Head of Kencana Capital Sdn Bhd, HL Engineering Sdn Bhd
and Jaseri Holdings Sdn Bhd. He has been the Chief Executive Officer at Opcom
Holdings Bhd since 20 March 2015. He served as Group Chief Executive Officer of
THB Industries Bhd from 1995 to 2001 and Pantai Holdings Bhd from 1997 to 2001.
He has been involved in the petroleum
industry for more than 15 years in various capacities. He started his career as
a Wellsite Operations Engineer at Sarawak Shell Berhad in 1987. He served as
Group Executive/Managing Director of Tongkah Holdings Berhad from 1989 to 2001.
Since 1990, he managed several businesses in Malaysia in the manufacturing and
healthcare sectors. These included public listed companies such as Tongkah
Holdings Berhad and Pantai Holdings Berhad and their subsidiaries.
He
serves as the Chairman of The Sepang International Circuit Sdn Bhd since 2003.
He serves as Chairman of the Board of Opcom Holdings Bhd. and has been its
Executive Director since 8 May 2009. He has been an Executive Vice Chairman at
Sapuracrest Petroleum Bhd since 9 December 2011. He served as Non-Executive
Chairman of ICP Ltd. (formerly Goldtron Ltd.) from January 2000 to 8 August
2011. He served as Non-Independent Executive Chairman of Kencana Petroleum
Berhad until September 2008. He also served as Chairman of THB Industries Bhd
from 1995 to 2001 and Pantai Holdings Bhd from 1997 to 2001.
He
served as Non-Executive Vice-Chairman and Director of SapuraKencana Petroleum
Berhad from 1 February 2014 to 4 March 2015. Prior to that, he served as an
Executive Vice-Chairman and Director at SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad from 9
December 2011 to 1 February 2014, and where he previously served as its
Non-Independent Executive Director since November 2004. He serves as Senior
Independent Director of Maxis Berhad and has been its an Independent Non Executive
Director since 16 October 2009. He has been an Executive Director of Kencana
Petroleum Berhad since 25 November 2004.
He is an Independent Non-Executive
Director, Chairman of Remuneration Committee, Member of Audit Committee and
Member of Nomination Committee at Maxis Communications Berhad since 16 October
2009 and serves as its Senior Independent Director. He served as a Director of
ICP Ltd. from July 1993 to 8 August 2011. He served as a Director of Strateq
Sdn Bhd (formerly Kompakar Inc. Bhd). He serves as President of the Squash
Racquets Association of Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum
Engineering from University of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1987.
