Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar was born in Alor Setar, Kedah in 1951. His family came from Hadramout, Yemen. Before deciding to live in Kedah, his father traveled to Central America to do business. There, his father went to Thailand. In the mid-40s, then the parent Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar decided to settle in Alor Setar, Kedah. In 1946, his father married.
Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar has seven siblings and he is the third child. Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar live in conditions of deprivation and even wooden house in Kampung Hutan Keriang not have a bed, table or chair. This caused him difficult to assess.
Nevertheless, each of which occurs there must be some silver lining. The situation was also motivated him to start the free tuition as a welfare program under al-Bukhary Foundation established to contribute to the charity. Currently, 15,000 students benefited from the tuition program.
Education
Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar start school in Alor Setar but when he was 9 years old, he was sent to live with his uncle, Syed Omar in Johor Bahru. He was there from fourth grade up to grade eight. Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar then returned to his hometown in Alor Setar and continued his schooling until grade five at Saint Michael's School.
Actually, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar is not well-educated people. He has not been studied up to university level. However, this does not mean he was not knowledgeable. Most of the knowledge acquired through direct experience when he was active in the business world since childhood lagi.Disebabkan of his family who are less fortunate, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar helped her mother grow vegetables to support the family income. They sell it in the market at Jalan Telok Wan Jah. He also sells bread rolled in the same market.

During breaks at school, his father would see him at school and asked him to make bookkeeping. After school, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar help herding his father's pet quarantine center near the train station Alor Setar. He has a lot of knowledge and experience to perform such work.
Start trading
In 1970, his father's livestock business decline due to the outbreak of foot and mouth disease. It spread to the rest of South Thailand, Kedah and Perlis. All livestock perished only. Since then, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar took over his father's business and decided to no longer engage in farming. He began selling meat on a small scale.
Actually, he went from town to town around Alor Setar to buy unsold meat. He then shared the meat packing ice and sell it back to the dealer Bumiputera and restaurants around Alor Setar. He was successful in that business. Adding that the success of his confidence to develop themselves in the business world.
From a business selling meat, he switched to the transportation business. In 1972, he managed to get a permit for the four trucks of Class A. He received a loan of RM110,000 from the MARA he used to buy two lorries Mercedes 911LS.
Setting up a company
In 1974, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar buy its first house in Jalan Telok Wan Jah under a hire purchase agreement with the UDA or Urban Development Corporation.
Next, in 1975, he established the company to apply for a trading license Shah and rice from the National Rice Board which is now known as Bernas. At the foot of the cockerel's luck, luck man who knows. He managed to get a contract for the supply of rice to the FELDA, MARA namesake, Pernas Edar Sdn Sergam well. Bhd., A subsidiary of Johor State Economic Development Corporation.
After successfully with the Company Shah, he set up a joint venture with two Chinese businessmen, namely Ng Ghiak and Chua Chong Tan Gee. Gee is Ghiak rice traders and millers of rice Chong Tan also.
In the joint venture company, Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar holds 52 per cent stake while Ghiak Tan Chong Gee and 32 percent respectively and 16 per cent. Business venture named Bukhary Sdn. Bhd. it commenced operations on July 15, 1976, in his office at Jalan Telok Wan Jah.
Importance
He bought MMC Corporation, the engineering company at a price of RM3 per share of Saham Nasional Berhad (PNB). Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar also has a 22.7 percent stake in Malakoff Berhad, the electricity supply company and a 20 percent stake in IJM Corporation Berhad whose main business is manufacturing.

In addition, he has a 18 percent stake in Bernas involved in trading rice and 32 per cent stake in Pernas International Holdings Limited, a conglomerate involved in many business sectors. While 18.7 per cent stake in Fiamma Holdings Berhad, the marketing and distribution of electronic products and 100 per cent interest in MPH, the company's retail and distribution of books.
The objective of the Foundation al-Bukhary
Al-Bukhary Foundation was established in March 1996 as a charity which helped the poor, support the development of Islamic art and culture as well as promoting understanding between civilizations. The main objective of al-Bukhary Foundation is encouraging the Islamic brotherhood. The foundation consists of two parts. One part of doing charitable work, while one part is being arrange funds from any companies in which Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar no interest . Until now, al-Bukhary Foundation spent more than RM300 million for religious activities, culture and education. In addition, Yayasan Al-Bukhary only finance poor students. Among the initiatives undertaken to finance the poor Muslim students from around the ASEAN to study in Malaysia..

Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shahril bin Shamsuddin and Dato' Shahriman Shamsuddin


Dato’ Shahriman Shamsuddin, a Malaysian aged 46, was appointed to the Board of SapuraKencana Petroleum as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on 9 December 2011.
Dato’ Shahriman is also a member of Risk Committee of SapuraKencana Petroleum. Dato’ Shahriman was the Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of SapuraCrest Petroleum prior to the merger of businesses between of SapuraCrest Petroleum Group and Kencana Petroleum Group.  
Dato’ Shahriman began his career with Sapura Group in 1991 and has held a number of key senior positions within the Group. He manages a diversified group portfolio which includes property investment, business aviation and education.
Dato’ Shahriman is currently the Managing Director of Sapura Resources Berhad. He is also Executive Director of Sapura Industrial Berhad and Sapura Holdings Sdn Bhd. Dato’ Shahriman holds a Master of Science in Engineering Business from Warwick University, U.K. and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Purdue University, U.S.A.







Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shahril bin Shamsuddin, a Malaysian aged 54, was appointed as President and Group Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and to the Board as Non-Independent Executive Director on 9 December 2011. He is also a member of the Board Remuneration Committee. 
 
Since talking the helm at SapuraKencana, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shahril has steered the company into a range of new businesses and projects in Malaysia, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Vietnam, China, West Africa and several other countries. 
 
Prior to the merger between SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad (“SapuraCrest”) Group and Kencana Petroleum Berhad Group, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shahril was Executive Vice Chairman and President of SapuraCrest. He was also previously Non-Executive Director and Executive Vice Chairman in the Board of SapuraCrest. 
 
Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shahril is a member of the Board of Trustees, Treasurer and EXCO member of the Perdana Leadership Foundation (“Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana”) and a member of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia’s International Advisory Panel. 
 
Among the awards that Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shahril has been conferred with include the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) from the Federal Government of Malaysia which carries the title “Datuk” (June 1998), Darjah Seri Paduka Tuanku Ja’afar (SPTJ) from Negri Sembilan, Malaysia, which carries the title “Dato’ Seri” (July 2007), the Legion d’ Honneur from the Republic of France (November 2007) and the Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) which carries the title “Tan Sri” (June 2013). 
 
He won the Malaysia Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2009. 
 
In May 2013, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Shahril was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Technology Management by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He graduated with a Master of Science in Management of Technology from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology from California Polytechnic State University.

Tan Dato' Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun born on 1952 which aged 63, known simply as Vincent Tan, is a Malaysian businessman and investor. He is the chairman and chief executive of  Berjaya Corporation Berhad, which is in a wide array of businesses which includes golfing, property, resorts, and gambling in a group known as the Berjaya Group. In 2010, he entered the Forbes billionaire list with an estimated worth of US$1.3 billion (RM4.2 billion). Tan's success in the Malaysian business sector has been attributed in part to his close association with prominent Malay political figures.

                  Tan Sri Datuk Tiong Hiew King was born on 1935 in Sibu, Kingdom of Sarawak. He was the founder and chairman of the Rimbunan Hijau Group, a timber company. This company founded in 1975. Its overseas timber opertions in Papua New Guinea is the largest in that country. He also has interest in logging operations in Russia. He is ranked by Forbes as the 1386th richest person in the world  and 11th richest man at Malaysia in 2015.

                   Tan Sri Datuk Tiong Hiew King is dealing not only timber but also in media. His Rimbunan Hijau Group operates Sin Chew Jit Poh and Guang Ming Daily, two of the major Chinese national dailies in Malaysia. They also operate The National Daily in Papua New Guinea and Ming Pao Holdings Ltd in Hong Kong. He is forging a global Chinese publishing group with his Ming Pao Enterprises; Ming Pao newspaper is also available in San Francisco, New York, Vancouver and Toronto.

Ananda Krishnan

Biography of Ananda Krishnan
            

               Ananda Krishnan was born on 1 April 1938 in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. He studied at VIvekananda Tamil School in Brickfields, KL and furthered his studies at Victoria Institution. As a Colombo Plan Scholar, he attended the University of Melbourne, Australia for his B.A. degree majoring in political science. During that time he boarded in the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn. Following that, Krishnan obtained Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, graduating in 1964.

               Krishnan's first entrepreneurial venture was a Malaysian consultancy MAI Holding Sdn. Bhd. He set up Exoil Trading, which went on to purchase oil drilling concessions in various countries. In 1990, he started diversifying into the multimedia arena. Currently, he was business interests in media (Astro, Johnston Press Plc), satellite (MEASAT, SES), oil and gas (Bumi Armada, Pexco), telecommunications (Maxis, Aircel, Axis, Sri Lanka Telekom). He owns stakes in Tanjong Public Limited Company, an investment holding company with subsidiaries involved in power generation (Powertek), gaming (Pan Malaysia Pools), leisure (Tropical Islands, TGV cinemas).

                Ananda Krishnan is the second richest person in Malaysia. He took a $ 1.6 billion hit to his net worth in 2014-15, partly because of the slump in shares of Bumi Ananda, an offshore oilfield services provider.  The sudden departure of Bumi's CEO in December 2014 sparked speculation that he might take the company private. In February 2015, he bailed out state-owned 1  Malaysia Development so that it could repay a $555 million load that, report say was guaranteed by his holding company, Usaha Tegas Telecom assets make up more than half his wealth, led by his controlling stake in Malaysia's Maxis.

BIOGRAPHY ABOUT TAN SRI DATO’ LEE SHIN CHENG



 Tan Sri Dato 'Lee Shin Cheng was first appointed to the Board on 21 July 1981.He is the founder of IOI Group, which is listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 28 July 1980. The Tan Sri Lee essential to the operations of IOI Group, was founded the plantation and property businesses for more than 25 years ago. Through his leadership and entrepreneurial leadership, strategic vision, guidance, wisdom and his vast experience, IOI Group has grown in line to become one of the groups leading the plantation and property in Malaysia. As Executive Chairman, he oversaw the day-to-day operations to ensure a smooth and effective for the Group.

BIOGRAPHY ABOUT TAN SRI DATO’ SERI DR. TEH HONG PIOW



Tan Sri Dato 'Seri Dr. Piow is one of the richest people in Malaysia. He is the founder and Chairman of Public Bank Berhad, known as one of the banks that are most successful in Malaysia with other countries in the region.
Teh was born in Singapore in 1930 where he studied at the Anglo-Chinese School there where together with his wife, Puan Sri Tay Sock Noy, they are blessed with three daughters and a son. The success of today is the result of hard work and diligence in which he worked and moved way up the corporate ladder in the banking industry.
He started with the Overseas Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) when he was a bank clerk. Talent and hard work earned him a promotion where within 5 years he became an officer of the bank before moving on to better opportunities with Malayan Banking Berhad as manager. At the age of 34 years, he was promoted to General Manager made him one of the young manager. He would then leave Malayan Banking to start his own company and it is when Public Bank was born.

He is the fifth richest man in Malaysia, where his story of rags-to-riches remains one of the most popular stories told and he remains one of the most prominent people in Malaysia today.
